How The FF-1G Works
The motor operates in one minute "increments" from the Digital Programmable Timer. A one minute ON PERIOD results in Exactly one revolution of the Dispensing motor & "Worm" (See photos at the left with the upper one showing the "GATE OPEN"). With the "GATE OPEN" & the worm turning, the pellets are allowed to be dispensed. The lower photo shows the "GATE" CLOSED! No pellets are allowed to flow! This is the "Rest" position of the feeder when the timer is in the "OFF" position. This action is repeated as often as the timer is programmed to activate the feeder. If it is desired to dispense 3 table spoons of pellets, the timer is programmed to activate the feeder for 3 minutes. Minimum activation is one minute, causing the feeder to dispense one tablespoon.
